FES Belarus
FES Belarus is part of the international network of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES). The foundation started its Belarus-related activities in 1993. Since 2000 we have been steering our activities from Kyiv, Ukraine. Our aim has remained the same: We strive for the promotion of social democratic values in Belarus and better relations between the Belarusian and the German society.
We do so by covering the following topics:
- democracy and rule of law in Belarus
- a sustainable and climate-friendly economic model for future Belarus
- workers-friendly policies and trilateral dialogue
- overcoming the foreign policy isolation of Belarus and the return to a constructive dialogue with Germany and other European states under the pre-condition of the acceptance of democratic values and human rights
- a future Belarusian foreign policy that strengthens peace and security in the region
