Academy of New Belarusian Diplomacy: looking for new leaders

Today, Belarus and the entire region find themselves at a crucial turning point in their history.

Today, Belarus and the entire region find themselves at a crucial turning point in their history. Regardless of who assumes leadership in Belarus in the future, they will be faced with the task of developing a foreign policy strategy from scratch. Furthermore, new leaders will be required to shape and guide this policy effectively.

In order to accomplish this, it is essential to possess a strong analytical expertise in the field, which will serve as a foundation for a critical examination of current and future initiatives within Belarus' foreign policy.

To address this pressing need, the Center for New Ideas and FES have introduced an educational online course. The primary objective of this course is to assist 20 young Belarusian leaders (under the age of 35) in formulating a comprehensive understanding of Belarus' foreign policy. Participants will engage in an analysis of the key challenges confronting the nation, identify the limitations of the current foreign policy pursued by the official authorities in Minsk, and critically evaluate the foreign policy proposals put forth by the democratic forces within Belarus. The course aims to provide these future leaders with a well-rounded perspective on the subject.

The project will be conducted during April -June 2023.
